Green your thinking at the 2010 Sustainable Meetings Conference
Published: January 11, 2010
What are the two most important actions an organization can take to remain viable and improve trust? According to the Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC), they are to create innovative business models designed for sustainability, and measure and demonstrate positive social and environmental impact.
From Feb. 9-11 in Denver, Colo., the GMIC’s 2010 Sustainable Meetings Conference will address how sustainability practices and recent green meeting standards are changing the way organizations evaluate the return on investment of meetings. Interactive sessions will center on educating meeting professionals in the areas of corporate social responsibility, measurement, future meeting trends and reporting sustainability/green efforts.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning, network with business partners and industry experts, evaluate green facilities operations during a back-of-the-house tour at the Colorado Convention Center, and discuss the critical alignment of sustainability and strategic meeting management.
