Louis Daniel was appointed general manager of La Samanna, an Orient-Express resort on the Caribbean island of St. Martin.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles named Lawrence McCue its director of group sales.

The Resort at Squaw Creek in California’s Olympic Valley named Cory Carlson its director of sales.

Jorge Christensen became director of sales and marketing at the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, Calif.; and Jim O’Connell was named director of sales for the group sales and business travel segments.

Joe Terzi was named president and CEO of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau. He was previously serving as interim president and CEO.

The San Jose (Calif.) Convention and Visitors Bureau named Angela Smart its national sales manager.

Albert Metz was hired as hotel manager for the W South Beach in Miami.

The Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui (Hawaii) named Juan Pablo Garcia-Neveu its director of group sales.

John Groh was named president and CEO of the Rockford (Ill.) Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Bureau named Michelle Travis its vice president of sales.

Scott Blakeslee became vice president and assistant general manager of Palms Place, the latest addition to the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Julie Rice was hired as national sales manager of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority.

Lisa Crawford was hired as day meeting manager for the Chattanoogan Hotel in Tennessee.

Paul Van Hoosier was named general manager of Element Hotel/Dallas Fort Worth Airport North in Irving; Shannon Hooper was hired as director of sales and marketing.

Rick Lotich, a 30-year veteran of the performance improvement industry, was named president and CEO of Plano, Texas-based Fusion Performance Marketing.
