Stephen P. Joyce became president and chief operating officer of Choice Hotels.

Margaret B. Weisgal became executive director of the Trade Show Exhibitors Association.

The Green Meeting Industry Council named Tamara Kennedy Hill its new executive director.

John Pate was appointed to the sales team of Orlando’s Rosen Shingle Creek hotel.

Attorney Tom Lang became director of the Kissimmee [Fla.] Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel announced a number of promotions within the sales department: Cesar Wurm became director of sales, Jackie Evans was named associate director of sales, Christina Thompson was named a sales representative and Candice Evans was promoted to catering sales manager.

Troy Kicklighter, director of revenue and reservations at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, was named Revenue Manager of the Year; Sheryl Ehlers, senior sales manager, was named Sales Manager of the Year.
