Travel laughs: A collection of 90 cartoons

Published: March 1, 2006

“The Lighter Side of Business Travel” is a collection of 90 cartoons, originally published in the legendary New Yorker Magazine, that capture the business travel experience from airport security screening to hotel wake-up calls. The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) partnered with The Cartoon Bank to produce the book, billed as a great gift for those involved in the travel industry. “We’ve all had days in which nothing seems to go right,” said NBTA President and CEO Suzanne Fletcher. “NBTA offers this collection of cartoons to the travel community to help make the bad days seem not as bad, and to help all of us remember to laugh when the unexpected happens.” NBTA recommends the publication to recognize a job well done, as a thank you to a company’s well-traveled team, as a pick-me-up after a tough day, or as a going away gift. Copies of the book are available at nbta.org/newyorker.
