Atlanta welcomes new attractions

Development in Atlanta heated up this fall with the Nov. 23 opening of The Georgia Aquarium, the largest in the world.
This is an amazing time to be in Atlanta, as a resident or visitor,î said Spurgeon Richardson, president and CEO of the Atlanta CVB. ìThe city is gearing up for an unprecedented series of events that begin this fall and will have a dramatic impact on Atlanta, namely the creation of a new leisure destination in the downtown and midtown areas.
Other fall openings included the Atlantic Station mixed-use development and the High Museum of Artís $130 million expansion.
Projects expected to open within the next five years include the Atlanta History Centerís Centennial Olympic Museum, the new World of Coca-Cola Museum and the Cobb Galleria Performing Arts Centre.
