LIVE 2009 Atlanta (Sept)

Go Green with PYM!

Being green within our professional and personal lives is more than just a trendy buzz topic. It’s something we all can join together and accomplish easily. You can learn all about the green initiatives we’ve taken within our Plan Your Meetings headquarters by reading our core values. If you’ve ever wondered how our meetings and events could achieve goals toward better sustainability, then join Plan Your Meetings for a very special, green event. On September 16, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., PYM teams up with the Atlanta chapter Green Meetings Industry Council (GMIC) and the beautifully redesigned Atlanta Botanical Garden for the last of our tri-annual PYM LIVE 2009 Atlanta Events.

Members of the GMIC, Atlanta’s experts for greening the hospitality industry, will be available throughout the event to answer all of your questions on the steps you can take and the impact you can make toward preserving our environment. You can stop by their registration table to find out how to join this global organization and build relationships with other members to share ideas and inspiration. Atlanta Taste will be providing light snacks and hors d’oeuvres while GMIC charter member Kevin R. Johnston, CMP delivers his keynote presentation: Hotel and Vendor Contracts: Adding GREEN While Staying out of the RED!.

As a special treat, we also will have live — and green — entertainment. Throughout the event, the theatrical performers of Zakarak Productions will demonstrate how you can increase content retention for your meeting attendees by incorporating fun and entertaining elements into your events.

Bring your cell phones and get ready to Tweet! PYM will have a live Twitter fountain streaming on our Web site, so if you do Twitter, you can follow the conversation or post your own thoughts using the hashtag #pymatl3. Throughout the educational sessions, you’ll be able to text in questions using your cell phone, thanks to The Extreme Group — who provides us with an interactive audience polling experience like no other.

Join us and get ready to reduce, reuse and recycle with PYM. I look forward to seeing all of you!
