Want to meet in a place with history?

Roswell has several antebellum homes available for group functions, including Bulloch Hall, the childhood home of Theodore Roosevelt’s mother Mittie Bulloch; Naylor Hall; and Kimball Hall, a Queen Anne house dating back to the 1880s.

Want team building?

Atlanta National Golf Club can arrange golf tournaments and host pre- or post-event catered affairs. Andretti Indoor Karting and Games has private dining/reception areas, a rock-climbing wall, arcade games and indoor racetracks. Startime Entertainment can put together morale-boosting team challenges ranging from a basketball shootout to go-karts races.  The Foundation for Hospital Art, an organization that is spreading art throughout hospitals, has “paintfests,” which creates a unique team building experience that is for a great cause.

Want unusual transportation?

Step aboard the historic 63-ft. paddleboat “Spirit of Roswell” for a tour of the Chattahoochee River. Shuttle attendees around downtown Roswell aboard the Chattahoochee Trolley instead of a charter bus.

Want adventurous group outings?

The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area rents pavilions and has hiking trails, fishing and boating tours. Visit the outback in Dawsonville at the Kangaroo Conservation Center, which has more than 300 kangaroos. Alpharetta’s Tanglewood Farms, a breeding center for miniature farm animals, offers space for meetings and receptions as well as team-building programs; offerings include ranch round-ups, human sheep herding and “farm feud” sports challenges.

Want dramatic venues?

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and popular music acts play the 12,000-seat Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park. The Roswell Cultural Arts Center’s 600-seat theater is available for private rentals; the center also is home to Georgia Ensemble Theatre, which has professional theater and classes for all ages. Kudzu Playhouse’s small theater is available for meetings; groups also can arrange pre- or post-show receptions around its programming.
