Colors on the rise
Published: November 6, 2007
In case you haven’t noticed, every year certain color combinations become “hot,” popping up on fashion runways, on consumer electronics and in home furnishing stores before trickling down to hotel décor, linens, stationary and other meeting planning accessories. According to the Color Marketing Group association of color professionals, if you want to be ahead of the curve, start thinking in terms of silver paired with blue-greys, and nature-inspired earth tones, such as citrus orange, orchid-like purples and tweedy greens. Asian-influenced designs with red accents also could be big next year, too, thanks to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
